Christopher “Chris” Cox (4-25-19)

Christopher “Chris” Dale Cox, 49, of Savannah, passed away on Thursday, April 25.
He was born in Nashville on March 12, 1970. He is the son of Butch (Sheila) Cox of Savannah and the late Carolyn Cox.
He was preceded in death by his mother; brother, Jerry Cox; maternal grandparents, Benny Wiggins and Ethel Swift; and fraternal grandparents, Gilbert Sr. and Lelia Cox.
He leaves behind his loving care-taking parents, Butch and Sheila; sisters, Mandy (Chris) King of Adamsville and Selina (Carlarness) Seabrooks of Nashville; nieces, Caroline and Emily King; and nephews, Geary Searcy III, Glenn Seabrooks III, Elijah Seabrooks; long-time friend, Kenneth Turner of Bonair, Alabama; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Chris was an avid NASCAR fan and a long-time, die-hard Alabama fan, ROLL TIDE. He was also a wonderful dad to his four-legged baby, Toby.
He will be greatly missed by all who were blessed enough to be a part of his life.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on a later date in Nashville, as Chris wished to be cremated.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to Unity Hospice of Savannah in remembrance of Christopher  Cox.
