L.D. Irvin (4-17-19) service 4-20-19

L.D. Irvin, 85, of Savannah, died on Wednesday, April 17.
He was born in Hardin County, the son of the late Lige Dan and Ida Beatrice Franks Irvin. He was united in marriage to Dorothy Ann Young, who preceded him in death.
Mr. Irvin was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He had worked for Neill Builders as a carpenter and was a member of Plummers Chapel Church in Savannah.
He is survived by his children, Teresa Thorne, Deanna Ford, Kim Jerrolds and Danny Irvin, all of Savannah; a sister, Jewel White of Savannah; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Rhonda Franks; brothers, Walter Irvin and Andy Jack Irvin; and sisters, Ruie Reynolds and Hazel Baugus.
Services were held on Saturday, April 20, at Campground United Methodist Church in Savannah with Jason Estes and Murray Gordon officiating. Burial followed in Plummer’s Chapel Cemetery at Savannah.
