Fred “Buck” Rickman Jr. (3-11-19) service 3-13-19

Fred “Buck” Rickman Jr. was born Feb. 27, 1931, in Hardin County, the son of the late Fred and Pearl Wood Rickman. He was united in marriage to Ruth Lambert on April 28, 1956. Mrs. Rickman preceded him in death on July 11, 1997.
He was a retired carpenter and a member of Lebanon United Methodist Church in Michie. “Buck” loved working in his garden and being with his son on weekends.
Mr. Rickman departed this life on Monday, March 11, in Selmer, at the age of 88 years, 12 days.
He is survived by a daughter, Pam Brown and husband Billy of Stantonville; a son, Jeff Rickman of Shiloh; a sister, Ludine Carlisle of Memphis; a brother, Arnold Wood Rickman of Alabama; two grandchildren, Kerry Brown and wife Beth of Stantonville, Monica Matlock and husband Jay; five great-grandchildren, Ty Matlock, Hannah Matlock, Sam Matlock, MaKayla Brown, Kason Brown; and a host of other relatives and friends.
In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Rickman was preceded in death by  three sisters, Mildred Kimbrough, Ona Ruth Dixon, Maxine Grisham; and a brother, C.G. Rickman.
Services were held on Wednesday, March 13, at 11 a.m., at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Selmer, with J.D. Matlock officiating. Burial followed in Shady Grove Cemetery at Shiloh.
