Jerry “Coonie” Neill (2-25-19) service 3-3-19

Jerry Wayne “Coonie” Neill, of Savannah, was born in Wayne County, on Aug. 18, 1951, the son of the late Arnold Leo and Emma Jean Franks Neill.
On April 9, 2012, he was united in marriage to Debra Elaine Kimberland, who survives.
Jerry proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, serving in the Vietnam War. He retired from PCA, where he worked as a machine tender and was a member of the USW Local 9923.  Jerry enjoyed planting his flowers, collecting case pocket knives and antique pocket watches. He loved horses and was a member of the Hardin County Saddle Club, he also enjoyed motorcycles.  But what Jerry loved the most was his family, he was always trying to take care of everyone.
He departed this life on Monday, Feb. 25, in Savannah, at the age of 67 years, 6 months and 7 days.
In addition to his wife of six years, Debra of Savannah, he is survived by his two sons, Jeff Neill and his wife Marty and Tim Neill and his wife Crystal, all of Savannah; two stepchildren, Kimberly Hosea and her husband Jason of Savannah and Matthew Garrison of Adamsville; grandchildren, Chance Neill, Abby Neill and Tyler Neill; 10 stepgrandchildren and four stepgreat-grandchildren; brother, Bobby Neill of Savannah; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his first wife and the mother of his children, Rita Jean Neill.
Services were held on Sunday, March 3, at 1 p.m., at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah, with Ed Alexander officiating. Burial followed in Campground Cemetery at Savannah.
