Inez McCasland (2-13-19) service 2-15-19

Inez McCasland, of Savannah, was born in Hardin County on Aug. 25, 1928, the daughter of the late Jessie Jefferson and Lovie Sophia Morton Clement.
On Oct. 27, 1946, she was united in marriage to G.C. McCasland, who preceded his wife in death on April 10, 1997.
Mrs. McCasland worked in the pre fit department at Brown Shoe Company for 20 plus years.  She attended Crossroads Union Church.  Mrs. McCasland loved working outdoors, especially with her flowers and fishing was her passion. She also enjoyed watching game shows, working on jigsaw puzzles and dancing.  Spending time and laughing with her family was her greatest joy.
Mrs. McCasland departed this life on Wednesday, Feb. 13, in Savannah, at the age of 90 years, 5 months and 19 days.
She is survived by her children, Patricia Barnes and her husband Lynn, Donna Conner and her husband Bruce and Vicki Franks and her husband Joe, all of Savannah; grandchildren, Alan Thompson, Greta Austin, Brad Thompson, Alisha Brown, Terri Wright, Colton Conner, Jeromy Franks, Shane Franks and Anissa Owen; 16 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Joyce Davis of Savannah.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. McCasland was preceded in death by two brothers, J.C. Clement and James Clement; and four sisters, Velma Barlow, Belva Harrison, Lou Ellen Rainey and Naomi Whitten.
Services were held on Friday, Feb. 15, at 1 p.m., at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Savannah with Larry Joe Rainey and Allen Guyer officiating. Burial followed in McCasland Cemetery at Savannah.
