Numerous arrests made in Hardin County drug crime sweep

A multi-agency drug crime sweep in Hardin County resulted in the arrest of at least 19 suspects Wednesday.
The sweep was conducted by heavily armed officers and agents from the Sheriff’s Office, 24th Judicial District Drug Task Force, Tennessee Highway Patrol, Savannah Police Department and U.S. Marshals Service.

A man is arrested at a Belmont Street residence in Savannah.

Hardin County Sheriff Johnny Alexander said the cases against the suspects were developed by undercover officers, agents and informants over the course of several months – up to five months in some instances.
At 12:45 p.m. today Alexander announced 19 of those with warrants as a result of the months-long investigations had been arrested, plus several others at the scene when warrants were served.
The total number of arrests is expected to be approximately 25.
Those arrested are scheduled to be formally charged Friday.

Thank you to all involved. We cannot sit idly by while these people destroy our children and loves ones with their poisons.
As the founder of Heartland Recovery Ranch in Hardin County and a teacher / Preacher in the prison i know and see the damage and destruction caused by these drugs.
Once again, great job! Now lets teach them all to know Jesus.

Yes it’s a good thing but when you go holding innocent ppl for a year just bc they have a past and treating them like they have killed someone keeping them from visits or letters is very sad and to go as far as trying to frame them I think your right Robin someone needs to be investigated and held responsible for wat they have done to ppl and their families bc guess wat,,,,PPL DO CHANGE IF THEY ARE GIVEN A CHANCE TOO
