W.C. Pevahouse Sr. (1-18-19) service 1-21-19

W.C. Pevahouse Sr., 86, of Savannah, died on Friday, Jan. 18, in Savannah.
He was born in Wayne County, the son of the late Chesley Milburn and Mary Ada Warren Pevahouse. He was united in marriage to Naomi Louise Murphy, who survives.
Mr. Pevahouse retired after 25 years from the Hardin County Highway Department, where he worked as a mechanic.  He also owned his own worm farm called “Pevahouse Worm Farm” and also owned and operated bull dozers.  He was a member of Savannah Foursquare Church.
In addition to his wife, Naomi Pevahouse, he is survived by his children, W. C. Pevahouse Jr., Charles Alan Pevahouse Sr. and Robert Earl Pevahouse, all of Savannah; five stepchildren; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; eight step grandchildren and 15 step great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Kenneth Carol Ward; brothers, Milburn, Brown and Forrest Pevahouse; and sisters, Hester Turnbo, Lochie Brashier and Carrie Cleo Pevahouse.
Services were held on Monday, Jan. 21, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Tony Polk officiating. Burial followed in Graham Cemetery at Savannah.
