Sally Wood (1-9-19) service 1-12-19

Sally Wood, 89, of Savannah, died on Wednesday, Jan. 9, in Savannah.
She was born in Hardin County, the daughter of the late George Daniel and Alice Collier Barnett. She was united in marriage to Venson “Ben” Wood, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Wood had been a machine operator for Brown Shoe Company. She was a life long member of Pyburn Union Church, where she played the piano, served as church secretary, and was a Sunday school teacher.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, John Sherman Barnett.
Services were held on Saturday, Jan. 12, at Pyburn Union Church in Savannah with Harry Nolen and Tony Polk officiating. Burial followed in Pyburn Cemetery at Savannah.
