Johna Ruth Grinder, 86, died on Sunday, Jan. 6, in Youngstown, Ohio.
She was born in Hohenwald, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Felix and Ruby Beatty, and a resident of Savannah from 1972 until 2016.
She was a homemaker and member of Eureka United Methodist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Joy Strain of Mercer, Pennsylvania; a son, Jon Grinder of Denver, Colorado; one brother, Ronald Beatty of Nashville; and two grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Grinder; and a sister, Duane Estes.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 19, at 12 p.m., at Eureka United Methodist Church with Dennis Unser officiating.
