Jerry Ables (1-2-19)

Jerry Ables, 55, of Savannah, died on Wednesday, Jan. 2, in Savannah.
He was born in Steele, Missouri, the son of the late Ruth Ann Ables Hardin.
Mr. Ables worked for Ben Hobert and Ronnie Hosea in the sawmill.
Mr. Ables is survived by his son, Calvin Edward Ables of Savannah; sister, Tammy Ann Todd of Savannah; brothers, Michael Hardin of Savannah, Frank Hardin of Kentucky and Johnny Hardin of Savannah; and stepfather, Hershel C. Hardin of Savannah.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Otis and Cloye Ables.
