Chamber of Commerce accepting nominations for annual service awards

The Hardin County Chamber of Commerce is now accepting nominations from the public for its 23rd Annual Distinguished Service Awards to be presented at the Chamber Banquet on Feb. 7.
Nomination forms must be submitted to the local chamber by Jan.14 in order to be considered.
The awards open for nominations are:
Individual categories: Man of the Year, Woman of the Year. Educator of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, Darryl Worley Public Servant, Young Professional of the Year (40 and under), Going the Extra Mile (GEM)
Group categories: Noel Freeman Community Service, Small Business of the Year – under 250 employees and in business for at least two years; and Business of the Year – more than 250 employees and in business for at least three years.
Nomination forms are available at the Hardin County Chamber of Commerce office inside the Tennessee River Museum on Main Street in Savannah, on its Facebook page, or by emailing [email protected]

    I would like to recommend or nominate Ray & Janet Waggoner for the Public Servant Award. They are always doing something to help others from their involvement with Country Christmas, Coats for Kids, & House of Hope. I have known them for several years & they are always looking to help others. They have true servant hearts.
