Iva Patterson (12-25-18) service 12-29-18

Iva Patterson, of Cherokee, Alabama, formerly of Lutts, was born on Dec. 7, 1931, the daughter of the late Lawson and Earline Simons Hinton.
On June 21, 1951, she was united in marriage to Herbert Patterson, who preceded her in death on Feb. 3, 1994.
Mrs. Patterson departed this life on Tuesday, Dec. 25, at the age of 87 years and 18 days.
Mrs. Patterson was a member of Second Creek Church of Christ in Savannah. She enjoyed quilting, canning and gardening. She loved her grandchildren and delighted in sending cards to everyone.
Mrs. Patterson is survived by her children, Doris Hauck of Cherokee, Alabama and Robin Patterson and wife Heather of Waterloo, Alabama; grandchildren, Natasha Benson and husband Rocky, John Morris, Brett Patterson; step grandchild, Kathy Hauck; great-grandchildren, Chase McGee, Tristan Morris, Haley Morris, Logan Morris and Kaycen Morris; great-great-grandchild, Jaxon McGee; special German son, Marco Brun of Radebeul, Germany; special German grandson, Luca Lentwoit; and special caregiver, Michelle McFall.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Patterson was preceded in death by her stepmother, Effie McFall Hinton; and her sister, Pauline McFall.
Services were held on Saturday, Dec. 29, at 1 p.m., at Second Creek Church of Christ in Savannah with David Rushlow, Robin Patterson and Marco Brun  officiating. Burial followed in Centenary Cemetery at Savannah.
