Robert Kimbel (11-27-18) service 12-1-18

Robert Kimbel, of Saltillo, departed this life on Tuesday, Nov. 27, at the age of 85 years, 3 months and 1 day.
He was born in Saltillo on Aug. 26, 1933, the son of the late Woodrow and Dorothy Lance Kimbel. On Aug. 4, 1952, he was united in marriage Patricia Damron, who preceded him in death on Aug. 23, 2014.
Robert was a truck driver for CF Trucking and served as the fire chief for Saltillo for six years. He worked two jobs to provide for his family. Robert was a good father, grandfather and neighbor.
He is survived by his children, Sandra Burd and husband Mark, Bobby Kimbel, Shiela Jones and Tammy Sawvel and husband Scott; grandchildren, Scott Burd, Daniel Burd, Keith Burd, Joshua Burd, Joseph Burd, Martin Burd, Briana Burd, Alexis Burd, Katrice Burd, Noah Sawvel, Robert Jones and Steven Jones; and great-grandchildren, Katie Burd, Cameron Burd, Anthony Burd, Tommy Burd, Jamie Burd, Julie Burd, Chloe Burd and Corbin Burd.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, Dec. 1, at the Shady Grove Cemetery in Saltillo with Tommy Crocker officiating.
