Bonnie Wiley (11-23-18) service 12-1-18

Bonnie M. Wiley (Taylor), 81, of Savannah, was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on Aug. 29, 1937, and is the daughter of Fred and Neva Taylor.
Following complications from open heart surgery, Bonnie died peacefully at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis at 3:05 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 23, with her husband and son by her side.
Our family is comforted knowing that Bonnie is a believer in Jesus Christ, was baptized and is now living in the glory of the Lord.
Bonnie was married to Douglas M. Wiley on Dec. 22, 1957 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and this year marks their 61-year wedding anniversary.
Doug and Bonnie Wiley retired in 1989 and, until moving to Savannah, enjoyed their early retirement years living on a boat and cruising the Caribbean, Tom Bigbee Waterway and the Mississippi River from Lake Superior to the Gulf of Mexico.  In 1994 they docked their boat on Pickwick Lake and made Savannah home. They have been very involved their community including the Bruton Branch Homeowner’s Association, Pyburn Union Church and local charities like CAM and RHEMA Shelter.
Bonnie is survived by her husband Doug; four children, Laura, Sarah, Paul and Tom; sister, Sue Buresh of Vinton, Iowa; niece, Suzanne; grandchildren, Daniel, Haanah, Shayna, Stevie, Noah, Naomi, Rachel, Joshua, Taylor, Isabelle and one great-granddaughter, Ramsey.
Bonnie’s celebration of life service and burial will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 1, at Pyburn Union Church, 345 Pyburns Drive, Savannah, 38372.  Public is welcome for a viewing and pre-service reception with the family from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the Wiley family recommends contributions to Pyrurn Union Church.
There will be a reception in Pyburn Union Church fellowship hall following the burial service.
