William Morgan (11-14-18) service 11-17-18

William Odell Morgan, 89, of Michie, died on Wednesday, Nov. 14, in Savannah.
He was born in Michie, the son of the late Arthur Odell Morgan and Jewell Fowler Morgan.
Mr. Morgan was a member of Liberty Church of Christ.  He was a longtime farmer.
He is survived by his wife Verdie Jewell Borden Morgan of Michie; three daughters, Lynn Austin and Sharon Burks, both of Shiloh, Vickie Murphy of Adamsville; five sons, Dewayne Morgan and Dudley Morgan, both of Michie, Dale Morgan of Shiloh, Dennis Morgan of Ramer, Tennessee, and Danny Morgan of Michie; 22 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren;  a sister, Jenny Martin of Shiloh; and two brothers, Billy Joe Morgan of Shiloh and Eugene Morgan of Corinth, Mississippi.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, David Dwight Morgan; a grandchild; three sisters, Reba Doris Morgan, Loraine Collier, Christine Thacker; and two brothers, Wilburn Morgan and Wilford Morgan.
Services were held on Saturday, Nov. 17, at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Selmer with Jeff Harvill officiating. Burial followed in Liberty Cemetery at Michie.
