Norman “Crunch” Riley (10-30-18) service 11-2-18

Norman “Crunch” Riley, 76, of Clifton, died on Tuesday, Oct. 30.
He was born in the Beech Creek Community of Wayne County, the son of the late Arnold Forrest and Dora Estelle Davis Riley. He was united in marriage to Joyce Robbins, who survives.
Mr. Riley enlisted with the U.S. Army in 1960, serving until 1962 and then transferred to the National Guard, serving through 1985 when he was honorably discharged. He retired from the Tennessee Department of Corrections Turner Correctional Center where he was a guard and the Wayne County Boot Camp.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Riley of Clifton; sons, Shayne Riley of Savannah and Jason Riley of Clifton; eight grandchildren; sisters, Joyce Troupe of Panama City Beach, Florida and Jo Ellen Lambright of Dixon, Tennessee; and brother, Jack Riley of Savannah.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant brother, Jerry Riley; infant sister, Shirley Riley; and his nephew.
Services were held on Friday, Nov. 2, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Shayne Riley and Adam Potts officiating. Burial followed in Culp Cemetery at Clifton.
