“We would like to honor the veterans and pay homage to the men and women who have sacrificed so much to preserve our freedom and way of life. We want to thank all veterans for their service to our great country,” said Bob May, commander at American Legion Post 97. “We are specifically honoring veterans post-Vietnam until present day who have served in conflicts and wars from all branches of service.”
In the past three years the American Legion Post 97 has honored veterans from World War II, Korean War and Vietnam War.
The public is invited to bring a lawn chair and enjoy the tribute at Adamsville’s newly renovated veterans park.
