Peggy Winborn (10-11-18) service 10-13-18

Peggy Sue Barlow Winborn, of Adamsville, was born in Hardin County on March 20, 1941, the daughter of the late Samuel Counce and Irene Jones Barlow.
On July 1, 1988, she was united in marriage to Vernon “Bear” Winborn, who preceded his wife in death on May 9, 2002.
Peggy worked as a waitress, and loved cooking. She also enjoyed working in her yard and with flowers. Peggy attended Crump Methodist Church.
She departed this life on Thursday, Oct. 11, in Savannah, at the age of 77 years, 6 months and 21 days.
Peggy is survived by her children, Ricky Willoughby of Crump, Patty Hooper, Jeff Willoughby and Marybeth Franks, all of Savannah; seven grandchildren, Taylor Clark, Casey Willoughby, Bethany Willard, Sarah Morton Fingerlin, Cody Willoughby, Meranda Willoughby and Wade Willoughby; five great-grandchildren, Madison Willard, Olivia Willard, Brentley Bain, Darby Willoughby and Carlia Gambrell; and two sisters, Carolyn Hicks of Brownsville, Tennessee and Sammie Wright of Crump.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Gregory B. Willoughby; one brother, Kenneth Barlow; and one grandson, Keith Eric Essary, who died in combat in Afghanistan.
Services were held on Saturday, Oct. 13, at 1 p.m., at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Paul Childers and Keith Holloway officiating. Burial followed in Crump Cemetery at Crump.
