Leslie Tilley (10-4-18) service 10-7-18

Leslie Tilley, 86, of Savannah, died on Thursday, Oct. 4, at his residence.
He was born in Hardin County, the son of the late Leonard and Mamie Copeland Tilley.
Mr. Tilley worked at Temple Chattanooga for 35 years. He had also worked as a logger and a trucker  for the Pete McLin Logging Company, and had worked in farming for several years as well. He was a member of Turkey Creek Union Church in Savannah, and later attended Soul’s Harvest Church in Savannah.
He is survived by a daughter, Lisa Tilley of Savannah; three sons, James L. Tilley of Collinwood, Jimmy Dale Tilley of Rhodesville, Alabama, and Jerry Wayne Tilley of Lutts; a sister, Mary Sue Rust of Savannah; a brother, Lester Tilley of Cookville, Tennessee; 9 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Monedith Copeland and Louise Tilley Stricklin; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Services were held on Sunday, Oct. 7, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Chad Balentine and Bobby Pickens officiating. Burial followed in Lutts Cemetery.
