Saltillo River Day set for Saturday

Celebrating life and history on the river, the annual Saltillo River Day takes place Saturday, Sept. 15, from 10 a.m. until 11 p.m.
The outdoor festival includes live bands, food vendors, crafts, cake walk and activities for children.
The Saltillo River Day parade is at 2 p.m., featuring the Saltillo Police Department, Saltillo Fire Department, color guard, 2018 River Day beauty pageant winners, Hardin County officials and Saltillo Mayor Larry D. Lowery. Decorated golf carts, tractors, antique cars and the Williamsport Riders – horse riders from Williamsport, Tennessee, will be there as well.
“We’ve planned a lot more for kids this year,” said Nathan Reeves, Saltillo River Day organizer. “There will be non-stop music and plenty to do for kids.”
Live music includes “Showtime,” Will Wilson, “Leather & Lace,” “Band of Jones,” “Wired,” “Trainwreck” and “Tumbleweed.”
