Ruth Burns (9-3-18) service 9-6-18

Ruth Burns, 81, of Savannah, died on Monday, Sept. 3, in Savannah.
She was born in Lauderdale County, Alabama, the daughter of the late Jack and Geneva Crosslin. She was united in marriage to Charles Will Burns Jr., who survives.
Mrs. Burns was an inspector for Garan Manufacturing.  She was a lifelong member of Church of Christ. The last few years of her life she was a member of Walnut Grove Church of Christ.
In addition to her husband, Charles Burns Jr., she is survived by her children, Charles Burns of Florence, Alabama, June Highland of Savannah, Janet Rich of Savannah, Carl Burns of Savannah and Gary Burns of Florence, Alabama; 20 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren; three brothers, Donald, Gaylon and Waylon Crosslin; three sisters, Joyce Wright, Patricia Hicks and Brenda King.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, Gene Crosslin; three grandchildren; and her grandparents, James and Ellen Crosslin and Jones and Emma Whitten.
Services were held on Thursday, Sept. 6, at Hendrix Chapel Church of Christ in Florence, Alabama, with Wayne Woods, David Dowdy and David Highland officiating. Burial followed in Hendrix Chapel Church of Christ Cemetery at Lauderdale County, Alabama.
