Mike Kerrigan, 86, of Adamsville, died on Sunday, Sept. 9.

He was born in East St. Louis, Illinois, the son of the late John and Ruth Cole Kerrigan. He was united in marriage to Naomi Scott Smith, who survives.

Mr. Kerrigan served in the U.S. Army for two years and was a veteran of the Korean War. He had worked for Caterpillar Tractor Company in Peoria, Illinois for 30 years. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife, Naomi Kerrigan of Adamsville; stepson, Duron Smith of Selmer; sisters, Pat Adler of Pekin, Illinois and Sharon Shea of Caseyville, Illinois; a stepgrandson; and a stepgreat-granddaughter.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Hazel Madeline Abbott Kerrigan.

Services were held on Wednesday, Sept. 12, at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church in Bolivar, Tennessee, with Scott Melson and Father Dexter Noblefranca officiating. Burial  followed in Memory Gardens at Savannah.
