Jack Vance (9-5-18) service 9-8-18

Jack Thomas Vance, 81, of Pickwick, died on Wednesday, Sept. 5, in Memphis.
He was born in Houlka, Mississippi, the son of the late William David Warren Vance and Rubie Jewel Holley Vance. He was united in marriage to Judith Ann Ring, who survives.
Mr. Vance attended Peoples Tabernacle in Savannah and was one of the founders of Full Gospel Fellowship Church in Bethel Springs. He served in the Navy Air Corps.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Vance of Pickwick; his children, Stevie Leanna Holmes of Lexington, Tennessee, James Anthony Vance of Shannon, Mississippi, Cynthia Ann Richards of California; six grandchildren; three sisters, Lawanda Meeks and Barbara Booker, both of Ripley, Mississippi, Linda Faye Hale of Walls, Mississippi; and a brother, Billy Ray Vance of Ripley, Mississippi.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Cynthia Hoffman; three sisters, Ruby Stump, Helen Burroughs, Dorothy Jean Vance; and a brother, Jimmy Vance.
Services were held on Saturday, Sept. 8, at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Selmer with Josh Franks and Shane Shane Porter officiating. Burial followed in Bolivar Memorial Cemetery at Bolivar, Tennessee.
