Henry Joe Bryant, 80, of Franklin, Tennessee, formerly of Savannah, died on Friday, Aug. 31.
He was born in Hardin County, the son of the late James Garland and Mollie Shelby Bryant. He was united in marriage to Deanna Gayle Riley, who survives.
Mr. Bryant was a police officer in Franklin, Tennessee, and retired from Nocona Belt Company, where he was a salesman. He was a member of Mt. View Church of Christ and Christ United Methodist Church in Franklin.
In addition to his wife, Deanna Bryant, he is survived by his children, Henry Joe Bryant II of Trinidad and Tobago, Jeffrey Alan Bryant of Franklin, Tennessee, Angelia Cormier of Spring Hill, Tennessee, and Jason Andrew Bryant of Lyles, Tennessee; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and one brother, James Altumn Bryant.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, J.G. Bryant; sisters, Frankie Bray, Dexter Russell, and Gladys Boroughs.
Services were held on Saturday, Sept. 8, at Mountain View Church of Christ in Savannah with Tracy Love officiating. Burial followed in Mountain View Church of Christ Cemetery at Savannah.
