George Woody (7-16-18) service 7-20-18

George H. Woody, 89, of Savannah, died on Monday, July 16.
He was born in Hardin County, the son of Gilbert D. Woody and Grace Davison Woody. He was united in marriage to Mary Ann White Woody, who preceded him in death.
He was a member of First Baptist Church of Pinellas Park, Florida.
Mr. Woody served his country for 20 years in the United States Air Force. He was stationed in various parts of the world during those years. After retiring from the military, he worked for Pinellas County, Florida for more than 20 years.
He is survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Billy G. Woody and William Floyd Woody; and two sisters, Dorothy Falls Bryant and Evelyn Woody.
A graveside service was held on Friday, July 20, at Memory Gardens in Savannah with Charles Linam officiating.
