Stricklin joins UT Extension as agent
Jared Stricklin joins the Hardin County University of Tennessee Extension staff as the new Agriculture and Natural Resources Extension Agent.
He is the son of Gerry and Cheryl Stricklin of Savannah. He married Callie in 2014 and they just welcomed their first child, Parker, in February.

Stricklin graduated from Hardin County High School in 2007. He continued his education at the University of Tennessee at Martin where he graduated in 2011 with a B.S. degree in natural resource management.
Stricklin started his work career at ISR Group of Savannah in 2011. There he managed their environmental needs such as permitting and forestry. In 2014, he transitioned to Growing Acres in Savannah. There he helped with farming corn, soybeans, grain sorghum and wheat. Also, he was a salesman for Beck’s Hybrids seed dealership, Seed with Service.
During his spare time, Stricklin enjoys spending time with his family and working with their registered beef master cow herd. He also enjoys attending Olivet Cumberland Presbyterian Church and spending time in the outdoors hunting.
There will be a meet and greet on Tuesday, June 12 from 8 a.m. – 10 a.m., at the Hardin County Fairgrounds. Everyone is invited to stop by and meet Stricklin and the rest of the staff.
