Pauline Wood (5-17-18) service 5-20-18

Pauline Wood, of Michie, departed this life on Thursday, May 17, at the age of 78 years, 11 months and 22 days.
She was born in Tishomingo County, Mississippi, on May 25, 1939, the daughter of the late E.H. and Sara Leathie Rhodes Johnson. On Sept. 10, 1955, she was united in marriage to Jimmy Aaron Wood, who preceded her in death on Oct. 18, 2013.
Pauline had lived in Hardin County for most of her life and was in the restaurant business before she retired. She enjoyed ceramics, quilting, cooking for everyone, and going to Tunica.
She is survived by her children, Randy Gene Wood and wife Theresa, Tammy Wood and special friend Jackie Davis, and Barbara Norris and special friend Mike Segars, all of Michie; grandchildren, Angie Gilliam, Derek Wood, Cory Norris, Johnathan Wood and Jim Hammock; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Lovie Dean Davis of Michie and Margie Rickman and husband Blan of Corinth, Mississippi.
In addition to her parents and husband, Pauline was preceded in death by her sons, Paul Aaron Wood and Timothy Wayne Wood; grandchild, Jennifer Nicole Wood; and brother, Herman Gene Johnson.
Services were held on Sunday, May 20, at 1 p.m., at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Frank Williams officiating. Burial followed in Oak Hill Cemetery at Corinth, Mississippi.
