Laura Renfro (4-17-18) service 4-21-18
Laura Kay Gladden Renfro was born Dec. 23, 1961, in Memphis.
She departed this life on Tuesday, April 17, in Adamsville, at the age of 56 years, 3 months, 25 days.
She was married to David Renfro on Nov. 5, 1982. Laura met David on the side of the road with car trouble in Little Rock, Arkansas, on the way to visit her father in Texas. David was driving an 18-wheeler and she was driving a Ford Pinto.
Laura drove the truck with her husband for more than 15 years, coast-to-coast, running her CB handle – Lady Hard Times. She enjoyed traveling the country. Later, she worked at the Apple Barrel in Adamsville for seven years. Due to health issues Laura had to stop working. Although her health was declining, Laura enjoyed staying home with her children.
Amazing, devoted, giver, loving, immaculate housekeeper, nurturer, strong and humble are a few words that best describe Laura. She was not one to worry over material things, her family and friends were most important to her. She was the glue that bound her family together. Laura loved her husband with everything she had. She was strong, brave and fought hard. She loved her kids and grandkids. Laura was the best friend a person could have.
