Clara Willoughby (4-10-18) service 4-12-18

Clara Sue Willoughby, of Savannah, departed this life on Tuesday, April 10, at the age of 87 years, 2 months and 24 days. She was born in Wayne County on Jan. 17, 1931, the daughter of the late James Herbert Haggard Sr. and Frances Moore Haggard. On April 17, 1954, she was united in marriage to Edwin Lee Willoughby, who survives.
Clara Sue was a bookkeeper for Willoughby Oil Company and for 42 years she was member of Sharon Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, but her most cherished moments were being “MeMaw” to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband of almost 64 years, Edwin L. Willoughby of Savannah, she is survived by children, Suzanne Williams and husband Randy, Lee Willoughby and wife Laurie, all of Savannah, and David Willoughby and wife Becky of Hendersonville, Tennessee; grandchildren, Justin Williams and wife Jennifer, Jamie Williams and wife Lauren, Julianne Campbell and husband Garrett, Lauren Willoughby, Lesley Willoughby, Katherine Willoughby, and Lee Ann Willoughby; great-grandchildren, Taylor Williams, Caden Williams, Lexie Williams, Logan Williams, Addison Campbell, Rylee Campbell and McKenzie Campbell; brothers, James Herbert Haggard Jr. and Larry Haggard, both of Waynesboro; and sister, Nina Snead of Columbus, Georgia.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Martin Haggard Sr.
Memorial donations can be made to Savannah Christian Academy, 3514 Cravens Road, Savannah, Tenn. 38372.
Services were held on Thursday, April 12, at 1 p.m., at Sharon Baptist Church in Savannah with Eric Smith officiating. Burial followed in Mt. Hermon Cemetery at Savannah.
