William Talley (2-8-18) service 2-12-18

William Carroll Talley, 74, of Savannah, died on Thursday, Feb. 8. He was born in Watertown, Tennessee, the son of the late Wilson Doyle and Lillian LeeAnn Jared Talley. He was united in marriage to Nita Houston, who survives.
Mr. Talley served in the United States Army for four years and the National Guard for 25 years. He was employed with Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency as an officer for 39 years and retired in 2002. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Fraternal Order of Police, Pickwick Shriners and Al Chymia Shrine Temple of Memphis.
In addition to his wife, Nita Talley of Savannah, he is survived by his daughters, Melissa Davis of Cordova, Tennessee, Leilani DeFord of Johnson City, Tennessee, Holly Baugus of Counce; Tara Pruitt of Savannah and April Lambert of Corinth, Mississippi; 14 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and sisters, LeeAnn Curtis of Smithville, Tennessee, and Yvone Moore of Grayson, Georgia.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Wilson Talley.
Services were held on Monday, Feb. 12, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Harry Nolen officiating. Burial followed in Pyburn Cemetery at Savannah.
