Donald “Red” Benson Jr. (1-31-18) service 2-4-18

Donald Ledford “Red” Benson Jr., of Savannah, was born in Wilcox, Arizona on Jan. 7, 1963, the son of Neomi Ruth Collier Esquibel and the late Donald Ledford Benson Sr.
He departed this life on Wednesday, Jan. 31, at the age of 55 years and 24 days.
Red, as he was known by friends and family, was an ordained minister. He was a caregiver, available 24/7, for his father for the last 10 years of his life. Red enjoyed hunting, fishing, and arrowhead hunting, and is remembered as a sportsman and outdoorsman.
In addition to his mother, Red is survived by his daughter, Kym Benson of California; brothers, Greg Benson and wife Dana and Troy Benson, both of Savannah; and a sister, Cindy Brady and husband Bill of Vail, Arizona.
Services was held on Sunday, Feb. 4, at 1:30 p.m., at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with David Highland officiating. Burial followed in Hollands Creek Cemetery at Savannah.
