Ernest Daniels (1-28-18) service 1-30-18

A memorial service for Ernest Lee Daniels, 79, of Counce, was held on Tuesday, Jan. 30, at 6 p.m., at First Baptist Church Counce, with Jimmie McChristail officiating.
Mr. Daniels passed away Sunday, Jan. 28, at Hardin County Medical Center in Savannah.
Born July 24, 1938, in Black Oak, Arkansas, Ernest attended First Baptist Church of Counce. He was a retired U.S. Army Major. Mr. Daniels’ loved his family and friends and enjoyed fishing, tending to his chickens, playing cards, watching NASCAR and hanging out with his friends, “The Good Ole Boys” and helping them with their various charity work.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Jimmie Daniels of Counce; sons, David Lee Daniels and wife Linda of Roxboro, North  Carolina and Dennis Edward Daniels and wife Tammy of Roxboro, North Carolina; daughter, Diane Avent and husband Kevin of South Boston, Virginia; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Bobby Luther Daniels of Wylie, Texas; other relatives and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Luther Daniels; mother, Zella Lee Manley Daniels; brother, Calvin Daniels; and a sister, Virginia Smith.
