Jackie Weaver (1-2-18) service 1-6-18

Jackie N. Weaver, of Morris Chapel, was born on June 16, 1935, the son of the late Joe Neal and Gladys Morris Weaver. On Dec. 19, 1957, he was united in marriage to Delberta Rose Chard, who preceded him in death on Sept. 5, 2015.
Jackie departed this life on Tuesday, Jan. 2, at the age of 82 years, 6 months and 17 days.
Jackie worked as an engineer for Caterpillar before retiring. He served his country in the United States Army. During his time in the United States Army, Jackie served in Korea for 16 months.
Jackie is survived by his grandchildren, Nena Weaver, Bruce Weaver and Sheila Franks, and his great-grandchildren, Rosanna Gamble, Triston Gamble, Austin Franks, Micheal Franks, Matthew Franks, Navi Weaver and Ivan Weaver.
In addition to his wife and parents, Jackie was preceded in death by his children, Roy Weaver and Barbara Weaver; sister, Carol White; and brother, Buster Weaver.
Services were held on Saturday, Jan. 6, at 1 p.m., at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Savannah. Burial followed in Milledgeville Cemetery at Milledgeville.
