Lillian Austin (12-31-17) service 1-4-18

Lillian Inez Fielder Austin, 80, of Corinth, Mississippi, formerly of Savannah, died on Sunday, Dec. 31, in Corinth, Mississippi.
She was born in Savannah, the daughter of the late James Alex and Mary Jane Mitchell Fielder. She was united in marriage to Charles Edward Austin, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Austin retired after 30 years working as a secretary for North Mississippi Roofing.  She also had worked for Garan Manufacturing in Corinth, Mississippi and Brown Shoe Company in Savannah. She was a member of North Corinth Baptist Church in Corinth, Mississippi.
She is survived by her three children, Charlie Austin and Wanda Brassfield of Corinth, Mississippi, Tony Austin of Savannah and Michelle Moss of Corinth, Mississippi; three grandchildren; and one sister, Henrietta Lindsey of Savannah.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, William Carl Fielder, Melvin Hurbert Fielder and James Reeder Fielder; and two sisters, Vera Ann Fielder and Frances Viola Fielder.
Services will be held on Thursday, Jan. 4, at 3 p.m., at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Savannah with Ron Cottom officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens at Savannah.
