Brad Childers (12-9-17) service 12-13-17
Brad Childers, of Savannah, was born in Madison County, Tennessee, on June 7, 1986, the son of Richard and Lisa Milender Childers.
On July 28, 2012, he was united in marriage to Julie Anna Johnson, who survives.
Brad worked as a welder for PCA since 2008, where he was a member of the United Steel Workers Union 9-978. He was also a Hardin County volunteer firefighter. Brad attended First Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Savannah. In his spare time he enjoyed working on the farm, hunting, fishing, boating,operating heavy equipment, and most of all spending time with his son and his yellow Lab, Jade.
Brad departed this life on Saturday, Dec. 9, in Nashville, at the age of 31 years, 6 months and 2 days.
In addition to his wife of five years, Julie, he is survived by his son, Canaan Bradley Childers of Savannah; his parents, Richard and Lisa Childers of Pickwick Dam; one sister, Lindsey Childers of Pickwick Dam; and his grandparents, Paul and Frankie Childers of Pickwick Dam.
Brad was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bobby and Jean Milender.
Services were held on Wednesday, Dec. 13, at 11 a.m., at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Savannah with Helen Hamilton and Paul Childers officiating. Burial followed in Johnson Cemetery at Savannah.
