James “Jim” Robinson (10-29-17) service 11-3-17

James Lee “Jim” Robinson, 75, of Savannah, died Sunday, Oct. 29.
He was the son of the late Ellis and Josephine Loomis Robinson. He was united in marriage to Lois Ann Weich, who survives.
Mr. Robinson served his country in the United States Army and worked as a towboat captain for Tennessee Valley Towing. He was a member of the National Rifle Association, Colorado National Wildlife and Hunting, and Merchant Marines.
Along with his wife Lois Robinson, he is survived by his sons, Brian Robinson of Lexington and Kenny Robinson of Paducah, Kentucky; a daughter, Katy Robinson of St. Louis, Missouri; stepdaughters, Teri Pence of Jackson, Missouri, Lisa Newman of Jackson, Missouri, and Sheri Smith of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; a stepson, James Pence of St. Louis, Missouri; sisters, Karen Looney Jett of Jackson, Tennessee, Sharon Crawley of Jackson, Tennessee, and Dola Mae Bivins of Lancaster, South Carolina; and 10 grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, James Darrell Robinson; daughter, Elizabeth Grillo; brother, Joseph Ellis Robinson; and sisters, Mary Lynn Cottle and Carol Elizabeth Dionne Hunter.
Services will be held on Friday, Nov. 3, at 1 p.m., at House of Mercy Church in Morris Chapel with Philip  Jett officiating. Burial will follow in Milledgeville Cemetery at Milledgeville, Tennessee.
