Floyd Hayes (9-25-17) service 9-28-17

Floyd Edward Hayes, 77, of Savannah, died on Monday, Sept. 25, in Savannah.
He worked for a taxi service in Lexington before moving to Jackson, Tennessee, where he was employed by Jackson Transit Authority for 32 years until he retired. He was a member of ACLU and recording secretary for the local Chapter of JTA.
He is survived by two daughters, Beverly Hayes of Adamsville and Kimberly Finley of Savannah; three sisters, Wanda Powers of Lexington, Lounell Conrad of Parsons and Jewel Glogowski of Parsons; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louie and Elsie Hayes; wife, Shirley Hayes; one daughter, Debbie Spicer; two brothers, Charles Hayes and Roy Hayes; and one sister, Ella Melton.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, Sept. 28 at 1 p.m., at Reed’s Chapel in Lexington with burial following in Lexington Cemetery.
