Carolyn Pipes (9-29-17) service 10-3-17

Carolyn Pipes, 73, of Savannah, died on Friday, Sept. 29.
She was the daughter of the late James K. and Grace Elizabeth Smith Crotts. She married Arden Sweat, who preceded her in death. Later, she was united in marriage to John Leamon Pipes, who also preceded her in death.
Mrs. Pipes worked at Garan Manufacturing.
She is survived by her son, Calvin Lee Sweat; brothers, Joe Crotts and Rickey Crotts, both of Savannah; a grandson; and a great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Bruce Crotts, Bradley Crotts and JC Crotts; and a sister, Linda Melson.
Services were held on Tuesday, Oct. 3, at Souls Harbor Church in Savannah with Linn Johnson officiating. Burial followed in Graham Cemetery at Savannah.
