Willard “Pod” Reaves (9-19-17) service 9-21-17

Willard Ray “Pod” Reaves, 74, of Morris Chapel, died on Tuesday, Sept. 19, at his home.
He was born in Cypress Inn, Tennessee, the son of the late Willard Threet and Merley Goldie Banks Reaves.
Mr. Reaves was a taxi driver and a member of Piney Grove Freewill Baptist Church.
He is survived by sons, Tracy Reaves and Stacy Reaves both of Florence, Alabama, Bruce Reaves of Booneville, Mississippi, and Alan Reaves of Corinth, Mississippi; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brother, William Vernon Reaves of Killen, Alabama; sister, Gail Elaine Ford of Morris Chapel; fiancée, Carol Franks of Savannah; and nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Maynard Reaves and Donnie Reaves; and sisters, Vinnie Sue Reaves and Mary Lou Hubbard.
Services were Thursday, Sept. 21, at 3 p.m., at Piney Grove Freewill Baptist Church, at Cypress Inn, Tennessee, with Chad Balentine and Greg Eaton officiating. Burial followed in the church cememtery with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing.
