Roger Lowrance (9-24-17) service 9-27-17

Roger Lowrance, 69, of Shiloh, died on Sunday, Sept. 24.
He was born in McNairy County, the son of the late JC and Lillian Ovada Thacker Lowrance. He was united in marriage to Linda Kay Robertson, who survives.
Mr. Lowrance retired from Shiloh National Military Park where he had worked in the maintenance department. He served his country honorably in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He earned many decorations and medals for his service, most notably the Purple Heart.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Linda Lowrance of Shiloh; children, Daryl Lowrance of Olive Hill, Christine Smith of Kossuth, Mississippi, and Randal Lowrance of Counce; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Laura Ann Lowrance; a sister, Carolyn McLain; and a brother, Danny Lowrance.
Memorial donations may be sent to Paralyzed Veterans of America, 801 Eighteenth Street NW, Washington,DC 20006-3517.
Services were held on Wednesday, Sept. 27, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Jerry Milliken officiating. Burial followed in Shiloh Methodist Church Cemetery at Shiloh.
