Amaya “Tootie” Nichols (9-18-17) service 9-23-17

Amaya “Tootie” Marie Nichols was born on May 27, 2007, in Savannah, to the parents of Vynderlin Nichols and Johnny Ray Beard Jr. 
She departed this life on Monday, Sept. 18, in Nashville, at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital.
Tootie was a student at Parris South Elementary in Savannah. Her greatest joys were watching Spongebob, relaxing outside, and spending time with her Nana.
She was preceded in death by two grandparents, Ray Neil Atkins of Savannah and Johnny Ray Beard Sr. of Whiteville, Tennessee; and one great-great-great-grandma, Annie Dixon of Savannah.
She leaves to cherish her memories to a loving and devoted mother and father, Vynderlin Nichols and Johnny Beard of Savannah; two sisters, Jahmia Robinson of Jackson, Tennessee and Alexia Emmons of Bolivar, Tennessee.  She also leaves three grandparents, Drue Tole of Savannah, George Tole of Decaturville, Tennessee and Sandra K. Jamison of Bolivar; two great-grandparents, Barbra Nichols and Daniel Nichols Sr., both of Savannah; and three special aunts, Sonya Nichols, Irish Williams and Kelli Tole. She also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who will miss her dearly.
Services were held on Saturday, Sept. 23, at 1 p.m., at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Pastor Sam Reeves officiating. Burial followed in Memory Gardens at Savannah.
