Tiny Beckham (9-17-17) service 9-20-17

Tiny Viola Wade Beckham was born on March 17, 1925, the daughter of the late Riley Hampton and Martha Kilburn Wade. On Sept.14, 1940, she was united in marriage to Curtis Howard Beckham, who preceded her in death on June 14, 1996.
Tiny departed this life on Sunday, Sept. 17, at the age of 92 years and 6 months.
Tiny was a member of Sharon Baptist Church, but she attended New Harmony Baptist Church for the last six years. Before retiring from Clifton Manufacturing after 30 years, Tiny also worked at Parris Manufacturing and The Button Factory, both in Savannah. She loved to piece and stitch quilts and crochet. Tiny collected thimbles,and cups and saucers. Her favorite times were spent with her family, as well as flea marketing and yard “saling.” She loved her God and spent time in prayer and Bible study.
Tiny is survived by her sons, David Beckham of Savannah and Jimmie Dennis Beckham and wife Brenda of Leighton, Alabama; daughter, Martha “Lynn” Davis and husband Jake of Savannah; daughters-in-law, Patsy Beckham and Helen Beckham; son-in-law, Billy Roy Beckham; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, both biological and those she took to heart as her own.
In addition to her husband and parents, Tiny was preceded in death by her son, Curtis Howard Beckham Jr.; daughter, Mary Elizabeth Beckham; brothers, Mack Wade and Montie Wade; sisters, Linnie Wade Franks, Maudie Wade Russell and Clara Wade Beckham; and grandchildren, Roy Howard Beckham, Billy Ray Beckham, Daniel Russ Baskins and Jessica Nicole Tripp.
Services were held on Wednesday, Sept. 20, at 1 p.m., at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Savannah with Johnny Burns officiating. Burial followed in Mt. Hebron Cemetery at Savannah.
