Lizzie Alley (8-21-17) service 8-24-17

Lizzie D. Alley, 89, of Enville, died on Monday, Aug. 21.
She was the daughter of the late Chester Lee and Lula Jane Smith Garrard. She was united in marriage to Freeman Edward Alley Sr., who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Alley is survived by her sons, Jerry Alley of Adamsville, Freeman Edward Alley Jr. of Adamsville, Billy Alley of Somerville, Alabama, and Randall Alley of Leapwood, Tennessee; daughters, Kathy Branning of Greeneville, Tennessee, Glenda Smith of Enville and Brenda Maness of Ramer, Tennessee; brother, Jerry L. Garrard of Adamsville; sisters, Allie Jeffreys of Adamsville, Betty Lidy of Kennett, Missouri, Mary Exilee Harbin of Savannah and Doris Koliski of Adamsville; 29 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, Jimmy Alley and James Alley; daughters, Patricia Boswell and Tina Faye Alley; brother, William G. Garrard; sister, Carolyn Miller; and four grandchildren.
Services were held on Thursday, Aug. 24, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Chad Balentine officiating. Burial followed in Old Union Cemetery at Adamsville.
