Jack Bryant (8-13-17) service 8-15-18
Jack Bryant was born on Aug. 16, 1944, the son of the late Hurshel and Tinnie Elizabeth Wilkerson Bryant. On Aug. 25, 1965, he was united in marriage to Carolyn Sue McLin Bryant, who survives.
Jack departed this life on Sunday, Aug. 13, at the age of 72 years, 11 months and 28 days.
Jack attended First Baptist Church of Adamsville. He served his country in the United States Army and was a self-employed truck driver for Bryant Trucking Company for 15 years. Jack enjoyed gardening, watching hummingbirds and playing checkers with “Renny.”
In addition to his wife, Jack is survived by his daughter, Tammie Wolfe and husband Doug of Adamsville; son, Allen Bryant and wife Maria of Adamsville; sisters, Susie Carroll and husband Randy of Adamsville and Janey McElroy and husband Aubrey of Johnson City, Tennessee; brother, Danny Bryant and wife Holly of Linden, Texas; brother-in-law, Wayne Atkins of Portland, Tennessee; and grandchildren, Candra Wolfe Hubbard and husband Jeremiah, Bailey Wolfe, Gavin Cortez, Daygun Bryant and Serenity “Renny” Bryant.
Along with his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his sister, Edna Atkins.
Services were held on Tuesday, Aug. 15, at 1 p.m., at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Savannah with Tony Polk officiating. Burial followed in Mt. Hermon Cemetery at Savannah.
