Freddy Cook Sr. (7-10-17) service 7-14-17

Freddy Cook Sr. was born in Hardin County on March 3, 1950, the son of the late Cecil Earl and Fanny Ruth Easley Cook.
On Aug. 31, 1968, he was united in marriage to Joyce Ann Creekmore, who survives.
Freddy was a retired millwright for LTV Steel.  He was a member of Mt. Zion Church of Christ, where he loved leading the singing and spending time with his church family.  Freddy was a lifelong mechanic of Volkswagens. In his spare time he enjoyed selling and trading, fishing and riding his trike.  Freddy loved spending as much time as he could with his grandchildren and all his family.
He departed this life on Monday, July 10, at the age of 67 years, 4 months and 7 days.
In addition to his wife Joyce of 48 years, Freddy is survived by his two children, Roxann Johnson and her husband Stephen of Savannah and Bubba  Cook and his wife Tammy of Savannah; five grandchildren, Ann Marie King and her husband Nathan, Stephanie Cook, Kaitlynn Cook, Emma Ann Johnson and Sadie Hunt; three great-grandchildren, Nate King, Kali King and Greyson King; two brothers, Charles Cook and Bobby Cook, both of Savannah; and two sisters, Leisa Arnold and Rhonda Cook, both of Savannah.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Freda Smith.
Services were held on Friday, July 14, at 11 a.m., at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Savannah with Gilbert Gough officiating. Burial followed in Wesley’s Chapel Church Cemetery at Savannah.
