Roy Parson (6-27-17) service 6-30-17

Roy Edward Parson, 80, of Counce, died on Tuesday, June 27, in Savannah.
He was born in Tishomingo, Mississippi, the son of the late John Allen and Maggie Hindman Parson. He was united in marriage to Barbara Faye Cromwell, who survives.
Mr. Parson served his country in the United States Army and was a retired logger.  He was a member of New Chapel Freewill Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife Faye Parson, he is survived by his daughter, Hope Hammock of Counce; two grandchildren; and one sister, Maudie Milligan of Counce.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Anthony Todd Parson; three sisters, Dora Garrison, Reba Alexander and Virginia Terry; and four brothers, Hobert, Herbert, Arbie and James Parson.
Services were held on Friday, June 30, at New Chapel Freewill Baptist Church in Counce with Paul Childers and Ben Henson officiating. Burial followed in Center Hill Cemetery at Counce.
