James Battles (6-15-17) service 6-19-17

James Allen Battles, 74, of Adamsville, died on Thursday, June 15.
He was the son of the late Barney and Naomi Goodman Battles. He married Dorothy Bowling Battles, who preceded him in death.
Mr. Battles was of Baptist belief. He was a member of VFW in Savannah.
He is survived by two sons, Richard A. Battles of Savannah and Gregory Battles of Adamsville; a daughter, Lisa Battles of Spring Hill, Tennessee; and two grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents, James was preceded in death by his brothers, Leland Battles and Earl Battles.
Services were held on Monday, June 19, at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Savannah with Randy Cook officiating. Burial followed in Clifton Cemetery at Clifton.
