Jerry Alexander (6-5-17) service 6-7-17

Jerry B. Alexander, 79, of Savannah, died on Monday, June 5.
He was the son of the late John P. and Minnie Handley Alexander. He was united in marriage to Joann McFall, who survives.
Mr. Alexander served in the United States National Guard. He was a member of Savannah Church of Christ and a former member of the Jaycees. Before retiring, he was part owner of Alexander Pontiac and Oldsmobile and owner of Alexander Motor and Rentals.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his stepdaughters, Regina Wyatt of Adamsville and Lisa Neill of Savannah; a stepson, Tim Hight of Nashville; a grandchild; four stepgrandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and three stepgreat-great-grandchildren.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Chris P. Alexander; sisters, Opal Hall, Vera Gardner and Edith Castelli; and brothers,  J.P. Alexander Jr., Max H. Alexander and Wilbur Alexander.
A graveside service was held on Wednesday, June 7, at Memory Gardens in Savannah with Jim Chamblee officiating.
