Jewel Franks (5-31-17) service 6-2-17

Jewel Franks, of Savannah, was born on May 21, 1925, the daughter of the late Warren Frank and Lula Bell Stricklin Wilkerson. She was united in marriage to John Coy Franks, who preceded her in death on Feb. 9, 2007.
Jewel departed this life on Wednesday, May 31, at the age of 92 years and 10 days.
Jewel worked as a seamstress at Garan’s before she retired. She was of Pentecostal belief, and lived in Hardin County most of her life. Jewel enjoyed sewing and gardening, and watching her great-grand dog, Oscar. She loved dogs and hummingbirds.
Jewel is survived by her daughter, Linda Jerrolds of Savannah; a son, Donny Franks of Savannah; grandchildren, Jennifer Davis of Savannah, Terry Franks of Birmingham, Alabama, and Jerry Franks of Birmingham, Alabama; great-grandchildren, Jimmi Lynn Davis, Jordan Davis Bills, Lainey Franks and Maddie Franks; and a great-great-grandchild on the way, Jenna Caroline Bills.
In addition to her husband and parents, Jewel was preceded in death by her son, Lonny Franks; and her sister, Beulah Franks.
Private graveside services were held on Thursday, June 2, at 3 p.m., at Neill Cemetery in Savannah with Chad Balentine and Charles Pevahouse officiating. Burial followed in Neill Cemetery at Savannah.
