Robert Grooms (5-3-17) service 5-7-17

Robert Kelton Grooms, 89, of Saltillo, died on Wednesday, May 3.
He was the son of the late Alvin and Gertie Grooms. He married Murriel Alexander Grooms, who preceded him in death.
Mr. Grooms was a truck driver for Gordon’s Trucking and Yellow Trucking, both in Memphis. He was a member of Saltillo Church of Christ.
He is survived by his son, Rick Lynn Grooms of Nashville; daughter, Sherry Grooms of Scotts Hill; sisters, Helen Eason of Saltillo and Betty Mitchell of Memphis; brothers, Bobby Grooms and Billy Grooms, both of Saltillo; and a grandchild.
In addition to his wife and parents, Robert was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Grooms; and his sister, Ellen Story.
Services were held on Sunday, May 7, at Saltillo Church of Christ in Saltillo with Larry Redmon officiating. Burial followed in Lebanon Cemetery at Saltillo.
